Circa 1905. "State bath house and pavilion, Revere Beach, Massachusetts." 8x10 inch dry plate glass negative, Detroit Publishing Company. View full size.
Corner of Revere Beach Boulevard and Chester Avenue:
State police building is still there on the left, along with the Bath House Pavilions on the right. The street lights are at least a bit old-timey, but look like they have been replaced at some point in the distant past.
What is the banner or sign that appears to be in the air behind the tower of the third building on the left? It doesn't seem to be towed from a plane, and that probably wasn't technologically feasible in 2005 anyway. What is it?
[An ad for the Steeplechase. - Dave]
But what is holding it up? Is it somehow attached to the tower?
