I guess even in the 1910s the dream of Texas as some sort of Nirvanna existed. I guess it's been part of the American mythos since Davy Crockett told his Tennessee constituents "Go to Hell. I'm going to Texas." Hopefully it worked out better for Turk than it did for Davy.
I love looking at before and after pictures.
