I also wonder how these kids turned out. The early 20th century was very hard for African Americans considering that it was only 41 years since the end of slavery.

My heart goes out to the young people in these pictures who endured the poverty and difficulties of the times. I hope they had a good life.
My heart aches for these kids and this picture, so close to the picture of Norma Shearer, points up the injustices in life. Who said life was fair, huh?
