My Great-Aunt Bessy in 1927. Scanned from the original print. View full size. [Who's her friend? - Dave]
I just love this one. Thanks for sharing. This reminds me of the incredible 1930 animation "It's a Bird," by Charley Bowers. A strange bird eats up old jalopies at the junkyard. Then it lays an egg and then ...
Aunt Bessy's outfit looks as 2008 as it does 1927! She's a classic head to toe!
This is in my dad's old photo album and he has no idea who he is, I asked too. We'll just go with Gary Cooper.
It's funny how few letters you need, to see that this was in front of a Mail Pouch tobacco ad.
He sort of looks like Gary Cooper. I find it amusing that their sense of humor indicated on the car graffiti showed disdain for tin auto bodies. Today I believe some are made out of plastic. In the future, our vehicles might be manufactured by Fisher-Price. Please do tell us who the mystery man is eventually. Howard Hughes was my second guess. Thanks for the fun photo.
[The body of this "Tin Lizzie" Model T, like today's cars, was made of steel. - Dave]
