Memory flashback. My longtime girlfriend's mother was a nun-nurse, same uniform as in the photo, who fell in love with the young "civilian" doctor. The rest was a history, as they say.

Not hard to see why those are no longer in style, especially in hospitals. Lots of nooks and crannies for infection to hide.
