Though black and white, we can tell the gas globes are different colors. It is pretty safe to assume the lighter one on the left was white, and the one on the right is red. In that time period, the white globe indicated "Ethyl", considered premium gasoline, and the red would be regular. Around 1956, premium would be replaced by the gold crowns.
