I would be nervous walking under potted plants sitting on a rickety railing, especially in a city known for a little earth shaking every once-in-a-while.
I'd say the swing was vital therapy for tired moms, and an important thing to keep kids occupied, rather than a whimsical amenity.

That's an intriguing entrance layout. I really love it! Plus, the glider swing stirred sweet memories of my Grandparents and Grand Aunts.
