Funny, I live down the street from an "L & L" diner here in Chicago. Obviously not the same one, but nearly as run-down! I miss these great old shop fronts like the one on the left (iron columns, etc.). I've seen so many of these disappear in my short 37 yrs.
This picture reminds me of "Native Son" the novel by Richard Wright.
