It looks as if the kiosk merchant may be selling ad space as well as cookies. The American Shoe Store advertised on the sign is at the intersection of Obispo and Villegas, just a few blocks northeast of the Cuban capitol building.
One comes looking for shoes, only to find rum and cookies. Disappointment is not always a bad thing.
